The only way I know is to use the dash dimmer switch. If you have it set so the interior lights wont come on when you open the door the overhead and radio will appear dimmer.

The dimmer wheel and your head lights on or off will affect the OH light.

yea i ntice that with mine when i put my headlights on it gets dimmer but when i turn the dimmer one click up it gets bright again
