The ol VP is hard too start after the AD150 install sooo i went and priced how much it is too get the VP installed at Cummins off commercial, under 500 bucks installed in half a day! So hope shell get me through winter.

Dont want to use my sledding fund on a 1100 dollar injection pump:doh: So come spring time ill be mobbing the ADR, FBD 150s, and a trans too go with my new SO VP44:stirpot:

Whats everybody else got going for projects or whats your plans for summer mods??

I am just getting done putting a 12 valve in a 1965 Ford Crewcab. I have it running and driving but it needs some suspension and interior work.
Suspension work as in a lift? Custom interior or going with refurbish original?

On an update, too fix my hard starting truck after the air dog install i wired up Moparmans relay for the lift pump too kill the pump while i crank my truck over since my VP is pressure sensitive too starting now..

Works great! Fires up in 2 revolutions again.. Not 10 like a powerstroke
I took out the pan hard bar because it hit the oil pan. Now I need to fabricate a new one. I have cross steering and the drag link pushes the axle to the side and it binds up.

I will be going with a custom interior. The truck does not have any carpet, headliner, or door panels right now. I will be sewing my own black vinyl diamond pleat for everything but the seat. I am using a seat from a 90's era truck. I don't want to use vinyl on the seat, it is too cold in the winter.

When you turn off your pump while cranking is it because there is too much pressure at start up?
Sounds like a lot of work. Hope too check it out when its finished though. If i were to commit too that swap my dreams been the 12valve in a 78 f250.

Yea, my IP has the good ol torn diaphram from running the stock LP for 198k..
So after i threw the airdog in it killed my starting lol. The switch fixed all my problems though. till spring when the VP44 gets changed itll help save my starter and batteries atleast
nothing new for me........maybe a little more air flow, but we shall see. Its been an expensive riding season for me :(

You will have to put up some pics as you go. I had a '66 short box 4X4 ford truck. Wish I still had it. That will be one bad truck when it's finished.

Pm,me for price details. here is a sample This is to show what they look like BUT these ARE WHITE not the Black shown.
