Hi All. I bought my 13 Laramie in August of last year. It has 5,700 miles on it, and has spent almost a month total in the shop..

They have yet to fix some of the problems, and I am done screwing with it, so I'm going to order a 14 3500. I was going to try to get them to buy it back, but don't want to screw with that, and besides, they have a $3,000 rebate now, and I don't think you can utilize a rebate, on a buy back...

I don't have time to search right now, I'm headed out the door, but wanted to know if anyone knows if there is currently a restriction on the Aisin transmissions ?
Also, what has the wait time been lately for those that ordered yours ?

I know it has been mentioned before that there is a website that lists any restricted items. If someone has that info, cold you please post a link ?

Also, what is the website you can track the build progress of your vehicle ?

Thanks

I stumbled across an exceptionally helpful guy over on ramforumz who, with your VON (vehicle order number), he is willing and able to give you a GOOD status update of your truck build.

the thread is http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=148509

if you read through it, you'll see he updates every couple days. He has done more for RAM customer service than any guy in any dealership I've come across. When spending $55k or more on one of these trucks, it's really nice to get a real, comprehensive status. As an example - I posted my VON, and got my estimated build date and ship date. You won't get that info through the VOTS site, which is the site they send you to with the standard dodge email.

a couple other sites- when ordering a built truck, you'll get a VON, and putting it in the VOTS site will give you a general status. From what I've read, it is far from accurate - the ramforumz link is so much better. but you can try it at https://www.ramtrucks.com/vots/

the 'restricted items site' I believe you refer to is Chrysler Trucks (Production Updates). again - completely unsure of accuracy of the information there, but I've chased threads in the past for that same information. It does list items such as airbags that are limited availability so may get you the information you need.

For estimated time, I did NOT order an Aisin - I got the standard 68RFE. I ordered 10 January, estimated build is 4 February. So if you add a couple weeks to that for delivery, 3 days for dealer prep - I should be sitting in a new truck about 6-7 weeks after order was placed. Really a lot faster than the 'estimated' 8-10 weeks dealer said - and 6-7 weeks seems to be what the current time from order has been for many on the boards.

hope this information helps. Oh one final site - once your vehicle actually gets assigned a VIN, you can pull up your window sticker here -

http://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=

by adding your VIN to the end of that link.
