Haven’t bought those exact lights before, but if you’re going from basic to projector/led headlights, it’s totally normal to need some sort of harness.
Nope dad's truck is a Laramie longhorn and has projector headlights

That sucks. In my experience, Jeremy is a straight shooter when I've asked questions due to missing details with products on the site. The website seems to be the only lackluster thing about the Retro Shop.

Nowhere in the product description you linked does it say that those adapters are needed for OEM projector trucks. In fact, it says they with both headlight types and that's it. I would ask if they are willing to work with you on the adapters due to this shortcoming.

I agree, it only mentions adapters for 09-12 trucks.

Yea that's why i sent them to my mom as they said it's plug and play. She called them and they mention that the site needs to be updated to reflect that.

I just put in the XB units into my truck, the higher end XBs are full plug and play for both Projector and quad trucks. They come with an adapter harness already installed for the quad trucks, if you have projectors you remove the harness and plug into the projector set up. I didn't like the hybrid units look as much as the XBs personally. The XBs are wired with the projector plug from the factory, guessing the XB Hybrids are wired with the Quad/dual wiring from the factory instead

My message didn't go with the post...Odd.. Sorry if I wasn't clear. I agree with you. I didn't see it on retroshops website either. My point is that if theretrofitsource states that there is a compatibility problem without wiring adapters then so should Retroshop.

I've dealt with Jeremy a little and he is a good guy. Probably an honest mistake on the website.

Oh no doubt and I was just seeing if anyone has installed them as there isn't clear instructions on them and he did send a link to a harness which my mom ordered so just wanted to see if anyone had experience with installing them as it isn't straight forward.

I just installed alpharex headlights last week on my 2016 with projector headlights using that harness and it's very much plug and play with it. I bought my lights on black friday sale and even though it was cheaper at the retrofit source I bought from alpharex because the retrofitsourcd website didn't call for a harness. And you definitely need the harness for factory projects.
