Opinions on backspace /Rub decision

Hello, long short short I am having the BDS 6" long arm kit installed on my 12'. BDS suggests a 5" backspacing to reduce rub at full lock. The wheels I currently have a 5.72" backspacing which obviously means they will rub the control arms prior to their 5" recommendation. I'm just looking for opinions if that is too extreme over their recommendation or if its doable? I really want to use my wheels but dont want to cause real damage to the new suspension. I could use a space but I am trying to avoid that as well. Any thoughts would.be appreciated. Thank you.

What tires are going on and what tires do you have now? I would think it would be close to clearing.

If you already have 35.12.50 I would put the lift on and see if it clears. I'm assuming your going up to at least 37x12.50s but the 35s should give you a good idea how much room you have.
