I only get 22# boost in my 02 with my edge with additude on level 5. How can i get more boost without changing my turbo?

Yep. If you have an auto tranny, you'll need a J-Hook to hold the wastegate shut.

You don't want to push the stock turbo over 35 PSI or so. Aside from overspinning it, it will just make hot air and not give you anymore power.

I have heard of people spinning stockers to 45-50 psi, but anything over 35 is creating "hot boost"....which is bad, very bad

you should be peaking around 40 with the comp on 5x5 even with no j hook or x hook or any other boost fooling mods.

J-hook or in my case "boost elbow" keeps the waste gate closed longer you you can reach 30-35 psi.

without them you won't hit that high, well as long as your wastegate is working right... and you don't need a "boost fooler" to get those #s

I was gettin the same boost numbers till last night when I put on my afe intake...... now i'me gettin 25-26 psi..... but anyways 42 psi is when the stock turbos start breakin the shafts ( at least thats what industrial injection tells me )

I was just reading that it will start defuelling after about 23-25 psi if your waste gate is stuck open so then you would need a fooler.

just buy a small turnbuckle. it does the same as a j-hook and cost way less:thumbsup

quite pissing around and go with a larger turbo. most of these trucks get enough fuel from the factory. fact is you can only stuff so much air in the thing. if it can't get rid of it then it is wasted
