All this talk of getting your new 2014 Ram delivered is really getting on my nerves. It needs to stop! I ordered a 2014 3500 long bed DRW, Aisin, 3.73 in October. I have not received my VIN yet. I called the dealer, he say there is a part hold-up, not sure what part. (?) But, as soon as he hears, he'll call me.
The worst part, instead of trading my current 2010, Ram 2500, I decided to list it on ebay motors. I has sold and now I don't have ANY truck.
Maybe a month or more.
This is really sad.

I feel your pain. Ordered my '14 Laramie more than two weeks ago, and it still sits in "production scheduled" status. The dealer was able to give me a VIN# so I could do some comparison shopping for insurance.
I don't know what the dealer told ya but average turn around to get an ordered truck is 8-12 weeks

Ain't no thing like a wait thing... I put my original order in, back in Jan... You heard it right, back in Jan... After waiting months for it to be built, I gave up in May and cancelled... Reordered in August and got it in October. Took about 9 week with my 2nd order...

Yeah, it sux, but what else can you do, if you want a truck the way you want it??
Ordered November, built Feb 27th, shipped end of April, delivered middle of May.
Ordered mine first week in Dec., manufactured in April and truck was delivered to dealership May 5th....(5 months).

I didn't think they started building the 14's till sometime in June, but not sure on that one. I KNOW they were still building 13's in May, mine was built in April.....So those who ordered 14's early first of the year should have known the 14's weren't going to start production till after 13's were finished, again, not sure when that was, but was thinking June or July production start up for the 14's???
I read somewhere the '14 started production in August. I actualy don't want mine till after New Years, don't want to begin anymore ownership stuff this calendar year, so I ordered it with 9 weeks of the year left. If it comes in early, they will sit on it until I can pick it up.
They were still building 13' till August. Mine was built first week of August delivered 2 weeks after that. 14. Started production mid August. The Aisin is the hold up for most builds that I can see...but waiting for the truck u want is sooooo worth it.
August 2nd was last day of build for 2013's and August 12th was start of production for 2014's
Some of the guys here have reported ordering their 3500 in October and they are now being delivered. Mine hasn't even start, in Production. Not sure, what part is the hold-up. Maybe the Aisin, the salesman is supposed to talk with the company rep.

Naturally, the guy at the dealership who knows,"Phil", fell out of tree, broke his arm, broke some ribs, punctured a lung. I thought I had bad luck.
My 3500 was ordered Oct 8th. It was shipped Nov 4th and is scheduled for delivery the 19th. I sold my 2003 Ram 1500 about a month ago and have been driving a borrowed $500 pos car from a relative. It drives like it has a square wheel in the front drivers side.

I'm dieing to get my new Ram and be a man again.
Having ordered a Mustang and waiting seven months - I decided I would find a truck I wanted and have it delivered to my dealership.
I am the impatient type...I walked in and bought a 2013 3500 with all the incentives that saved me serious money, and I'm now enjoying mine already! No painful waiting for me.

So when is the lift and big tires going on to enhance that manhood:shock::hehe:
I'm really surprised that my 2010 sold so fast. I just thought I would list it while waiting for delivery of the 2014. The 2010 sold with 2 weeks.

Now I'm driving my daughter's HHR.
It will stay "production scheduled" on VOTS until it is being built. That takes two days. VOTS is slow, so quite often the truck is finished by the time VOTS updates.

I ordered my 14, took 7 weeks. LOVE it!
Ordered my 3500 Laramie on 10-23, shipped on 11-15, supposed to arrive on 11-29.
I was ready break down and order one also but, just when I was ready to give up the search and order I found almost the exact truck I would have ordered, long drive to get it but no waiting :)
Good News,
My truck has been moved to Paint. Not sure how long the rest of this process takes, maybe two weeks? We'll see!
It took about 8-9 weeks to get my 2014...That was from order to delivery.
