Hot idle should be in the 25-30 psi range, cold max pressure around 70-80 IIRC. A 100 psi gauge should be fine.

Oil Pressure maximum
Looking on adding a mechanical oil pressure gauge to my 06. I think the 100 psi gauge should be all that is required. Can anyone that has added a real gauge confirm?
If my searches were correct the engine should idle around 10 psi and show 40-70 at speed. Is this correct?

Thanks, 100psi gauge it is then.
Yup 100psi should work fine. My truck Idles around 75psi cold. Hot idle around 23 and 2k rpm at 74mph it stays around 65 hot.
