Oil pan leak...again?

I'm not sure what to think. 2013 with 6,500 miles - no trailer towing.

Noticed oil leaking from the rear of the pan at 5,000 mi. Dealer took it in to replace the gasket, noticed the pan was warped. After a week, I had the truck back with a new pan, gasket, and oil change. I noticed more drops on the drive yesterday (6,500 mi). Taking it in tomorrow. I have a serious doubt that it's another warped pan, not sure what else it could be. Any suggestions? I really don't want to leave it for another week. I don't see oil leaking from above the gasket (sorry, couldn't get really clear pics that close).

Not when it's dripping on my drive. But seriously, I checked the pan before I left the dealer...clean and new.
Update: After having the truck for a week, the dealer says it's a leaking rear main seal. We'll see if that's the culprit. I should have it back by the end of the week. Not sure why they didn't see it when the pan was removed the first time.
Keep us posted. Sorry for the problems, but I bet they'll get you fixed right up.

Mine leaves a few drops on the driveway too. Not sure I'm ready to lose it for a week or more to "maybe" get it fixed.

I got it back last week - they replaced the rear main seal. It leaks worse than ever now. Leaving a 2" puddle overnight. I also have a power steering fluid leak. I spoke with the dealer, he said they'll have to tear into it again to be sure, but he thinks something may have been milled wrong, or there's a hairline crack in the block. Next step...call customer care. They're actually talking about a buy-back. 7,900 miles. I'll keep you posted.
please follow up with the outcome.

It's good to hear that they are talking about initiating a buyback. It really sucks when they just don't seem to care about the issue, and you have to get an attorney to deal with the problem.

I love those two little words.. BUY BACK ! My wife has a BMW that was "exchanged" I didnt even have to fight for it, they did it all on their own. A dealer & mfg rep knows when these things just cant be fixed, and are a lemon. Its cheaper for them to just take it back and give you a new one. Think about all the legal fees they would rack up fighting you, it would cost more then the truck costs to produce.
OK, after calling customer care and taking it back for a 3rd repair, initially it appears to have been fixed. According to the tech, the rear main seal wasn't inserted straight. So they pulled the trans again and replaced with a new seal. So far so good. They wanted to keep my truck for an indefinite time while they waited for a new power steering hose to be manufactured and shipped. No way.

Also in Indiana, the Lemon Law is 4 repairs or 30 days out of service. This is repair 3 and 17 days out of service. I still love the truck, best one I've ever had. I just don't want it to leak.
Crawled under mine just now to see oil drops on some rear pan bolts, motor mount, bracket by turbo oil draining(all passenger side)and bell housing as original post shows. Great... How many weeks to fix this??? :banghead:

Sorry to hear that. It took them really about 1 week (once they finally got it diagnosed). They had to order the part. Once the part came in, it was 2 days.
Bump.

I'm seeing the same leak on my 2013 this afternoon.

I was just under it to snug the damn body mount bolts that Ram Mexico forgot to snug AND tore into the rear of the cab to find a rattle that has been there since day one, turns out it was behind the carpet panel against the back wall. 2 clips for wires that weren't clipped into the body and two components (not sure what they do) were also loose.

Anyway, back to this problem.

So now it's leaking and pretty sure it's gonna be the rear seal, it's exactly like this. I will be out of town for a few days week after next, I'll drop it off so they can fix this, the drivers side mirror that rattles, maybe they can find the dash rattle and the annoying center console latch rattle that drives me crazy too.

My patience is growing thin. I know these are all quick fixes, but wow, 6000 miles and second guessing myself. Maybe it's just a bad day. Lol.

I took mine in. They asked who did the oil change. "You guys did. You even remembered me from when we did it. I bought the Mopar deal 4 for $209". Well they said the filter and housing were loose. I let them know they ought to fire the dip who did it.

I've got a 12 pack that says it isn't fixed but we'll see....

They also did the PCM reflash, and 2 more radio flashes. Trans shifts way better!

Hey so I was thinking about this last night.

Didn't Cummins assemble these engines?

I know Ram Mexico assembled the components, but these leaks are coming from the block assembly, where I assume the entire engine was assembled at Cummins? Or is the engine assembled in Mexico with Cummins parts?

If Cummins assembled em, why all the leaks?

After they replaced the rear main - I've got significant more vibration in the steering wheel.

I'm not sure, but now the EVIC is telling me 'diesel exhaust service required - see dealer'. Taking it in today. They still don't have the power steering hose in stock (2 weeks now). I hate having to go to the dealer every 2 weeks.
I'm truly sorry for your problems, good luck with resolutions.
