My truck in my sig recently deleted but the EGR equipment is not removed yet, just unplugged. I have a steep driveway and either have to park nose up or nose down. When I park nose down and start up the engine in the morning I get puff of blueish smoke indicating engine oil was in one or more cylinders. If I park nose up I don't get the blue smoke. Years ago if you had some blue smoke (gas engine) at startup it was an indicator that you had valve seals leaking. I would assume that it could be the same on a diesel, but why only when parked nose down? What else could be leaking oil into the cylinders while parked overnight in a nose down attitude? The truck has 119K miles on it.
