On my 06 2500 cummins Check gauge light came on today while setting at a light and the oil pressure was at 0 gave it a little fuel and right up to 50. Checked oil and all was good later on today it did the same thing several hours apart and it comes back up. Any ideas? Please help

It's a fake gauge, just a pressure switch programmed for what the engineers think people want to see. You either have a bad switch or bad wiring.

Put a real gauge on to verify your oil pressure.

How True . The gauge readings are based on customer expectations under varying operating conditions. I read this somewhere like 15 years ago and i was floored .

The gauge is a fraud, like others said. But verify you have oil pressure. The fact the light went out when you blipped the throttle stopped concerns me. You might have been below the 7 psi Hobbs switch.
