Filters - Oil

I order all my filters for my 2012 from Geno's garage. I use the LF16035 for oil. I use Valvoline Premium Blue 15/40 engine oil. This is a great forum. Lots of smart folks here. Joe, welcome to the forum.

These are some of your choices for filters. Warranty wont be an issue.

As far as oil, any Qualified CJ4 oil will be good in 15w40 or 5w40.

the LF9028 has not been tested for an over the road truck application, it's designed for standalone refrigerator units.
the best filter flow and micron rating wise would be the DBL 7340 hands down.

If a person changes oil every 5000 to 6000 miles, those filters would be a waste of money. You would have to risk/run extended change intervals in order for those filters to be cost effective.
Looks great, but with the 15k service on the new trucks, I wouldn't want to leave the same filter on for 30-45k....plus the LF16035 filters can be had for about $10 a piece if bought in bulk, vs the $30 for the extended life. The price makes it a wash.

Now it would be interesting to see how much of a difference the XL filter made on oil quality vs the LF filter with the same 15k change interval...

DBL7349 - ELF7349 - DB LUBE DONALDSON REPLACEMENT FOR REPLACED BY ELF7349 - Filter Products

DBL 7349 99% at 15 micron which is alot better then the standard mopar filter, synthetic element, and its $11.69 per filter. I bought 10 of them I think so I am set for a while.
Oh, now isn't that interesting...I need to do some more research on these

I don't know if it's approved but it is the best full flow filter that I've seen. I don't think anybody should have a problem with warranty work.

Dodge Ram Cummins Mopar and Fleetguard Fuel Filters

I use the Mopar Nanonet fuel filters. 5 micron outer/3 micron inner filter. It is a 2 stage filter.

For the rear differential on my truck, I used Amsoil Severe Gear® 75W-90 gear oil. AMSOIL Synthetic Gear Lube - Gear Oil I choose Amsoil for the extended mileage between changes. Hope this helps.

When I changed my rear diff fluid, I purchased 5 quarts. I used 4 full quarts, and a bit of the 5th one. My truck has a 11.50 Rear Axle
