I've upgraded my mechanical lift pump, deleted my fuel bowl, and changed my fuel filter. I just went to install the oil dipstick mount screw on my intake horn, I noticed it didn't want to line up easily. I pulled the oil dipstick out of the plastic tube and it had noticeable resistance but came out straight. When I go to slide it back in, it only goes a 12-16" in before stopping. The plastic tube seems too bent.

It was a pain reinstalling the fuel filter housing and I'm thinking it could've been fighting with that tube the whole time. The tube is just underneath the fuel filter housing and hugging the inside, the side closest to the block. I have no idea how this tube is supposed to run exactly and can't find any diagrams. Any help would be appreciated.

It sure does! That diagram clearly illustrates the tube goes to the outside of the filter housing which is what I suspected but the last thing I want to do is snap it. Thank you very much mtncntrykid!
