My NV5600 is getting near time for a rebuild and I want to put a auto in. Think of getting a 47re and building it myself. Should be pretty simple to build and I am thinking the swap wouldn't be to hard either. If anyone has done this I would like your input and tips/tricks. I have searched and read all threads on this but there just aren't many out there. I am thinking that I would probably need a pcm from an auto also? maybe even a ecm? I would need the tranny, a cooler, shifter, column, gear indicator, dipstick, and ofcourse driveshaft changes. Anything else I need to begin gathering? :S:

ill trade you everything minus gauge cluster and column for a swap. i have a 47re that has 30k miles on it. Its even in an 01 QCSB. lol but you'll need, trans, tcase, drive lines, column, gauge cluster (do make it look legit), cooler, lines, ECM for an auto, PCM for an auto. cup holers in place of dash pocket. im sure there's some things im missing.

Hmm interesting. That would be ideal to straight trade with someone but that's probably a lot of downtime. I want a 241dld also so I can use a SYE kit so I don't have to worry when truck flexes. How much wiring is involved to make the tq and lockup work correctly when you swap ecm and pcms I wonder? And what are the issues with torque management and autos? Also curious as to how a quad or edge works with the trannys. Probably could search for some of those questions. Lol.
