Hello everyone hoping I can get some help on here I have a 2007 ram 3500 with the 5.9 and 48re 3k miles ago we replaced the transmission with a new one it only made it 3k miles before we started having issues out of it , the truck will not shift below 3rd gear when coming to a stop or trying to take off causing it to be very slow on take off , I can however manually shift it into first and it will take off just fine but when you come to a stop again it only downshifts to 3rd once again it’s rather annoying having to shift into first then back into drive just to be able to take off without the engine sounding like it’s about to grow wings and fly with the amount of fuel you have to give it to get it to go only code being thrown is p0708 transmission range sensor circuit high

Nothing lol it still is doing the same thing I fixed the issue with the gear selector not lining up on the dash but the truck is still refusing to go into first unless I manually do it

The p0708 code also went away but it seems the truck is starting off in either 2nd or 3rd it won’t go to first

Pretty typical for wiring and or GP Solenoid/tranducer issue to cause 2nd or third gear start issues.
Should make sure good fluid level and front band adjusted properly
Then I would double checking wiring then check governor pressure.
