I was told by the dealer i would lose my warranty if i added a 4-6" lift and tires. I can only go up two sizes on my tires that would be 285's . what the hell is this crap right????????

:agree2: My stealership told me that a lift would only void my suspension parts but I pretty sure that if anything went wrong they would try and blame it on the lift :banghead:

yea its such a grey area. My last truck had a 6" bds and my ball joints were toast at 10k. Not covered. But one of my batterys crapped out and it was covered. Depending what goes wrong they can point at lift and tires. Theres alot of things though that they can blame the lift/tires. If the warranty is alot and expensive work, it could be worth taking lift off for the warranty work.

The local dealership sells brand new Cummins trucks with 6" lift and 37" wheels. All covered under warranty because they did the lift and tires and sell it with same warranty as non lifted truck. They have a black crew cab 3500 on the lot right now with 6" lift, 37" tires on some black 20" rims.

Thats bullchit. I can see a big lift, but not a leveling kit. Its all factory parts. Yea yea, sure theres a little increased wear by running bigger tires, but your not stuffing all that much more under with a leveling kit. 35s will fit, but dang. Comes stock with what 32s. I'd tell them to go....well I wouldn't be very happy. Find another dealer

Unless you have about 100,000.00 to pay lawyers and 5 years to wait for the courts to hear your case, and don't forget all the time it takes away from work to show up in court, only to have the case continued time and again until the one day you are not there. Then it will be thrown out or a summary judgement against you because you were not there!
That repair parts act really is not worth the paper that it is printed on. Dealers will warrant their work and add ons because they know the quality of the kit that they installed. But if someone else installs things, you had better make sure of the quality.
I had Westin Steps put on my truck new and that was the worst mistake that I have made. I am ready to take them off and throw them in the trash, because they won't honor the warranty on the sorry step pads!

I agree, the MMA is good, in principle...if you have the time and money to fight the guys with the lawyers. The dealership can void "parts" of your warranty for the lift and tires. To me it makes sense, if I owned a dealership I would have a hard time honoring warranty work on a truck with a big lift/tires. Where do you draw the line, 2, 4, 6, 10...14 inches of lift? 34's. 38's, 44 inch tires?

What seems to be missing these days is customer service. The dealer gets paid by Dodge to perform warranty work. If they were willing to take the time to really look into individual situations and warranty based on what actually was wrong, and not whether someone has an unrelated add-on. The dealer can establish a relationship with the customer by going the extra mile for the customer, creating a customer for life. I don't see that happening as much now, not where I live.

Im with you, unfortunetly dealers are not, Dealers dont get full rates for warranty work either. So if a shop is busy, they like to put off warranty work for more money. Find a hurting dealership and more likely to get warranty work
