Hey everyone.. i.hopingbyou guys can point me in the right direction. About a year ago I was driving to NC in my 92 W350 4x4 12 valve and the front hub bearing assembly disintegrated. It was someone's used plow truck... And obviously maintenance wasn't their priority.
Anyway ... I had it towed 199 miles to my cabin.... And there it sat, under my carport ever since. I would start it at least once a month and like it always did before.... Would fire within 2 seconds of hitting the key. I have not started it in about 2 months due to traveling and now it will not kick over .
I put in a fresh battery... Just because.... And have my battery charger on boost to help if necessary, I cracked open the injectors and I'm getting fuel to all 6. I re tightened them and still crank no start. I keep reading about the fuel shut off solenoid... But wouldn't that prevent fuel from coming out of the injectors? I even poured some gas on a rag and laid it on the air filter to see if that would help get it to fire but still no go. ANY and ALL help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANK YOU. Steven

Try the block heater for an hour before cranking, and make sure it's cranking fast enough.

Weak battery, internally coroded cables, tired starter (or bad internal solenoid contacts) can all contribute to slow cranking.

Edit: I have one truck that refuses to start unless it gets a half dozen pumps on the lift pump lever first.

When you have the injector nuts cracked open and your crank the motor over are you getting a crazy amount of spray from them, or is it just a slow dribble? If your not getting spray that could get in your eye when standing beside the truck then your not getting a proper injection pulse and this could be due to a few things...but most likely would be the FSS has either lost the 12V power to it, or has failed or the plunger is stuck down inside the IP.
