Has anyone else seen this one? I've got 35 inch trail grapplers. With fender flares.

Got this no mud flaps fine for $110 today.

Mudguards
(3) Every motor vehicle and every trailer shall be equipped with mudguards or fenders or other device adequate to reduce effectively the wheel spray or splash of water from the roadway to the rear thereof, unless adequate protection is afforded by the body of the motor vehicle or trailer or by a trailer drawn by the motor vehicle. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 66 (3).

Offence
(3) No person shall operate or permit to be operated upon a highway a vehicle that is,
(a) fitted with a tire that does not conform with the standards and specifications prescribed in the regulations; or
(b) fitted with tires that are installed in a manner, in a place or in a combination that does not conform with the specifications prescribed in the regulations. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 70 (3).

So having aftermarket fender flares gets me off the hook?

The tires don't stick out further then the fenders.

Not if you have any kind of lift because you are spraying out the back.

Exactly, being as you have a lift you need mudflaps. Those fender flares aren't stopping all the road spray comming off the back/bottom of your tires. It's like when we safety heavy trucks, gotta have mudflaps :thumbsup:

But really there are so many 1/2 tonnes around here that are jacked 200" and don't have mudflaps. The police officer was pobably just having a bad day, and sorry to say found you.

ya he must of, ive been pulled over by MTO and didnt get that ticket running 11inches of lift with 37"s

My mud flaps don't do jack in the winter. I'd rather have flaps to stop snow from building up in my foot steps.

Hell, I built my own rock tamer for my trailers

I got that same ticket last year along with many others.I took them to court and it turned out that youy can only be given that ticket if the roads are wet or raining out. If the roads are dry that ticket wont stand up in court

It just snowed about 7 inches and the roads were wet slush slop. Don't think I'm in luck.
