I recently had my transmission rebuilt and it seemed to be working fine, but the after 700 miles it didnt wanna shift and i had no lockup....so i put it in the shop and they replaced all the eletrical in the tranny..i got it back and it works great shifts nice but i still have no lockup...they say its the truck.......it starts getting hot also could this be because of my lock up problem? thank
did they check the lock-up solenoid, where are your pressures at idle and WOT, it could also be a bad converter, if the clutches are bad in the converter lockup may engage but you wont feel it,
The cooler circuit may not be flowing adequate atf to keep cool. Pinched tube, blocked cooler, ect. Or the red hot tranny guy may need to pay someone to fix what he can't.
well i fixed the cooling problem i had some blockage in the cooler, it works great now...............when i put it in drive it wont shift out of 1st gear.....i just replaced the speed sensor and took it for a drive and it still wont shift any ideas.......
