When i start up my truck after its been sitting for several hours, i start it and when i step on the pedal it stays at an idle for a few minutes and then everything goes to normal when it runs for a short time. So basically i have to warm up my truck for 5 minutes before it will go above idle and 5 mph.

When you start your truck if its an auto put it in neutral for about 5 seconds before you drive, I'm still not sure what the issue might be. Check for codes because I was told this can be a sign of injection pump failure. Mine showed P0216 injection pump timing failure

my 95 used to do that a little, i just warmed it up for about 5-10
