Howdy. Been lurking for awhile and decided to join. I ordered a 2014 CC Laramie longbed 4X4 at the beginning of Sept. I waited 6 weeks for it to arrive. The dealer called and said it was there. I was so excited that I had to go "visit" my new ride like it was a new child. When I got there, the dealer was installing the Amp steps while the truck was lifted up on the lift. I walked out of the shop for 5 minutes only to come back and see that my new truck had been the victim of a broken lift. It fell 5-6 feet and landed on its nose... Needless to say, they had to order a new truck since the damage was extensive. What hurt the most was being let down after all of the excitement and anticipation of a new truck. I then had to wait an additional 5-6 weeks for another one to be built and here's the worst part; I just sold my 2003 Ram the day before the accident! Fortunately the dealer gave me a loaner to use while the second truck was being built.
Well I finally got the new truck and love it. Unfortunately there are no lift kits made for it even though Ive had the new wheels and tires waiting to be installed for a month. I'm getting a phd in patience these past few months.

I ordered a 2014 Laramie CC long bed 4x4 too on Oct 8th. I sold my 2003 Ram shortly thereafter. I've been driving a relative's pos $500 car around which drives like it has square wheels.

Just yesterday CS said that my truck has been sitting in a rail yard 2 hours away from me since Nov 15th. I can't imagine getting that phone call from the dealer saying it arrived.

Congrats on the new truck hopefully someday soon I'll be enjoying my new truck as much as you. Now post some pics!

That's a rough way to start out. Hopefully all the bad luck was used up on your first truck.

Maybe the 1st one would have been a lemon lol.

Traxda makes a 3.5/2" leveling kit. Don't know how their quality is

Did they let you take a picture of it nose diving off the lift?

It's like passing out cigars, then the nurse drops the baby.
Now that was funny. And yes I have pics. Just gotta have one of my kids teach me how to post them.

That's a long time to wait with it being almost there. My dealer told me that the haulers they (or Dodge) has are contractually bound to deliver their vehicles within 3 days of arriving at the rail yard.

Fab -tec is going to have bolt on lifts. My friends '14 3500 4x4 6.7 was their proto truck. He has 37's on the beast. He has to go off road all the time for business, poor guy, and needs the lift.

the dealer installed the amp steps? so there wont be any warranty issues down the road? I pick up my new 13 mega tomorrow and I have already bought the steps off of ebay but after reading about all the electrical issues on these trucks i'm kinda worried that if I install the steps and something goes wrong with the truck they may blame it on altering the factory wiring and get out of warrantying it somehow..

One more reason to have the dealer do it. Plus it was cheaper for me.

Yeah, I've talked to Fab Tech many times. They told me I could have a lift for free if I gave them my truck for 30-40 days so they could use it as their guinie pig to make the lift. I can't afford to be without my truck. Also, my dealer told me that Mopar might actually be the first to market with a lift for the 2014s. They're rumored to be shooting for some time before Christmas. We'll see... Most companies say its gonna be February or later for theirs. Again, we'll see...

Sorry it happened bro, but looks like it was a happy ending after all. You were also able to order two trucks and take delivery on both before my 1 truck ordered has even started to be built. Lol...awsome..!!
