Well I traded my 2016 2500cc bighorn in on a 2018 3500 Laramie dauly with a aluminum flatbed.really like the extras on the Laramie also I like how the transmission shifts compared to the 16. Both are the 68rfe but the 18 definitely shifts smoother.

Very cool , looks like a custom tow rig.

I take it they installed the Park Sense system in the tow bed ?

Thanks for the nice comments! It’s a 3500 with the bed removed. I wanted a c&c but my insurance co considered it a commercial truck and my insurance was going to be 3200 /year. So the dealer put this together for me. Yes the rear park sensors and backup camera are in the flatbed. Plus power folding mirrors are not a option on the 3500 c&c according to 2 different dealers and after market ones were around 1600-1700.

I didn’t know about the insurance deal.... good to know.

Are you gonna add a fuel tank or replace the original tank?

The spare tire is in the normal spot ?

Thanks Stricken!Yes DaMonk the spare tire is in the original location. No extra fuel tank needed.the original tank works fine for me. I’m only going to use the truck for hauling my sxs and towing a camper in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter

Sweet setup. Very nice and thanks for posting the pics!

I'd strap the side by side over the wheels, though.

What insurance company? The C&C is detuned ... and if I remember correctly it's not possible to get a full top end trim level that way, like the power mirrors. And the rear half of the chassis is far more robust. So you'd have a slower, safer, far less costly vehicle... and they wanted to charge you more?

I have erie as well, and if I purchased a C&C, my agent said that I could not carry it on my regulag insurance policy, but she would sell me a nice COMMERCIAL Progressive policy for it! So I have the more powerful maxtow pickup with the HO and the Aisin trans.

My Progressive Commercial policy went DOWN about $700 when I traded The Radio Flyer for White Lightning.

The truck covered amount also doubled from about $32,000 to $64,000 as well.

Simply charging a “commercial rate” based solely on the bed style, all while NOT being engaged in commerce.....is quite stupid, IMO.

How's the mileage on that 4500 vs the Radio Flyer? Also, do you notice the power difference?
