New Truck.... What to Do?

Took delivery of this 07' Dodge 2500 with the 5.9 in it yesterday, 5/31. Had just under 8000 miles on it when I picked it up. It's one of the only Southern Comfort Edition Dodges that I've ever seen.

It's got a 6 inch Pro Comp lift, with 35X13.50X20 Xtreme All Terrains with Pro Comp Extreem Alloys. Bushwacker fender flares, 5 inch tip, and a custom paint job.

Here's some more pictures of it

Now, I just got to decide on what mods I'm going to do first. Probably, intake, exhaust, a smarty, and some gauges. A friend of mine is running a Bully Dog Triple Dog in his 07' 5.9 that he said he would let me borrow and am thinking about doing it..... his has been trouble free for the last thousand miles or so. I just don't want to fry the transmission. What do you guys think, should I wait for the Smarty or try out the Bully Dog for free, I know I've heard some good and some bad about the Bully Dog, Thanks

I wouldn't waste my money on the bully dog, but if someone is going to let you use one go for it. Then you will have a comparison when you get your Smarty. That is a great looking truck!!
Looks good!!!!! But fold the mirrors down!! Unless there's a big trailer behind you!
That truck is freakin awsome. enjoy!:peelout
Sharp looking truck!

Go with the SMARTY.

try the bully dog then get the smarty and the smarty will be that much better!
I dont drive around with those mirrors up, I'm waiting to tow the camper or my Dad's big boat, then I'm gonna use them up. Thanks for all the compliments

Very nice truck!!
A guy told me one time that he keep his mirrors flipped up because he is always pullin Hos!!
Thanks guys for all the compliments. I think I'll be trying out the BD later this week until I get the money for the Smarty.... now I just need to decide on which intake and exhaust to do. I think I'll probably gut the intake tube for now, I also want to take out the silencer ring out of the turbo. Hopefully I can do all this on Thursday when I'm off work

What exactly is the southern comfort edition??? I swear I seen another truck on here with that same exact paint job..

Bullydog for free?!?!? Run it, you'll like it and so will your stock tranny, just be nice to it. Smarty is the ultimate in adjustibility but there are some wicked BD tunes out there

My recent dyno on bullydog 2.4.1 http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/3rd-gen-performance-parts-discussion/204874-newer-er-dyno-numbers-bd2-4-1-mp8-ddp90s.html

Wow that is one sharp truck! Congrats
Just got new rims, tires, Isspro EV2 boost, pyro, and tranny temp gauges. Also got 5" turbo back exhaust with an 8" tip and my train horns got rewired.

Thanks everyone for the compliments :headbang: It's a work in progress..... and will continue to be unless I hit the lotto :lol4:

Next on the list is the tranny.... either a Suncoast, Goerend, or Garmon built capable of holding 600-700 HP
Thats a slick truck. What all is the Southern Comfort edition?
