I have a few miles on the new truck (1800) and have been avg. low to mid 15mpg hand calculated. No real short trips. 35 miles to work one way during the week and today a 200 mile round trip. Operating temps look normal but have noticed several times now that the exhaust smells like it is coming from a dryer (no dryer sheets, lol) or the truck smells hot. Today it had a burnt rubber smell kind of coming from under it when I parked at the end of the day.
I'll look the exhaust over in the shop tomorrow and see if I have anything touching it. I know these new ones get pretty hot exhaust wise at regen times. Besides the rubber smell does this seem normal?? Thanks for the replys.
