Going to pick up my 2013 2500 crew cab tomorrow. I got a spectacular deal with trading in my 2011 Quad Cab 1500 Big Horn. I have had 2 Rams, both Hemi's. a 07 and the 2011. Hoping I get better mileage seeing my Hemi only got 13-14 mpg. Before the Rams I had a 2001 Powerstroke and a 96 Powerstroke. So I guess you can say I was stroking for years, now Im finally Cummin. I modded the crap out of the 01 Powerstroke to the point that I blew 2 rods through the side of the block. (Never doing custom burnt chips and propane again)

Never had a Cummins before and have some questions from what I am reading here.
What is DEF and DEF fluid? I have seen something about exhaust fluid?
Any tips, or things I should do or know?

Welcome to CF, and congrats on the new truck!
The DEF refers to Diesel Exhaust Fluid...or Urea. Your new dodge will sound, smell and perform like the EPA wants it to.
Read on and you'll soon come to the cross roads of warranty vs mods.
