Not sure if this is the correct place for this or not.

I have been looking to trade my 04 5.9L for an 08 6.7L. If I get the new truck I don't think I could afford to keep the 04, I still owe about $14.500.

I have also thought about keeping the 04, and buying a 2nd truck. I'm thinking I could get another 04 for about 15-18k.

I use my truck for my bus., and it would be nice to have a 2nd truck. At times we are so busy it's hard to stop for regular mait., I need tires and trans service now and have not had time to do either.

With 2 trucks my wife could take one to the shop for me when something needs to be done. Also, my daughter will be driving in a few months, so a second truck along with our car would come in handy at times.

Sorry for the long post, just wanting to make the best decision for my family and our bus.

Thanks!!

I wanted to get rid of mine for a new one to take advantage of the diesel prices on a new buy, but my truck has taken a major hit on trade in value, and now im so far upside down I couldnt think about trading it even with a substantial amount down.

I would wait till the one you have now is paid for and then either buy a used one to fit the financial situation you have...or then buy a new one

Why would you want to put yourself $50,000 in the hole, when you can get a excellent truck for 14-18,000?

I not know who some of you guy's can afford a $800+ truck payment, then fill it up with diesel  :$:

buy another 03-04 you already know how reliable and great they are because you have one. why have only one truck that may have unknown probs since it is so new when you can have two proven truck that are just as good and i agree pick me up an 04 for 18000 also hard to come by

around my neck of the woods an 04 would probably be around 24ish. But you may be able to find somebody desparate. I was emailing a guy about his 03 QC LB that he is selling to move to hawaii and its a nice truck, 70,000miles...edge juice/attitude, 6 in lift with brand new 37's very clean, all debaged, tinted windows...he was asking $22,500 and today he emailed me saying that he really needs to get rid of it and that carmax offered him 17 so he told me he would sell it to me for 18...I told him that was a killer deal and that I want it but unfortunately I have to sell my car first and nobody has been interested (2004 Honda Civic which is weird because I am averaging 36mpg hand calculated so you think people would want that when paying $4.00/gallon)
