Hey guys, love the site and the helpful info in excess. I just purchased an '05 Dodge 3500 on Saturday...then got it stuck in the recent snow storm here in Atlanta.... Miles were high, but it runs like a top so I will deal with the issues as they come. Next weekend, I plan to change the oil, fuel filter, trans fluid and diff fluid, just to be safe. Any recommendations on brands and type? Also where would I find the reverse switch (48FE)? I believe mine may be faulty since I have no reverse lights. Its my first diesel, but have been a fan of the Cumins for a while. What should my next step be to enjoy this truck as much as possible. I must confess, I did not buy it for towing, I just love trucks and turbos, so hauling in this one is the end goal.

Welcome to the CF, I use Baldwin pf7977 fuel filter as most will agree they are best for the stock canister on our trucks. Amsoil 15w40 HD diesel & marine CI-4 in the engine and fleetguard oil filters.

Thanks for the intel friend, I will take note. I plan to do most of the work myself, so your search feature will be seeing a lot of me.

Welcome to the site! Personally i use Mobil Delvac 1300 15w40 and wix filters, and everything has gone great for 2 years now other than typical maintenance.
