So I have had 3 craftsman all in less than 3 yrs have started to slowly creep down when under a load. Plus these suckers are heavy and a pain to move around. So I am looking for a nice aluminum one that can hold our trucks. I dont mind spending 300 or so on one but I want it to last. I have 2 craftsman professional paper weights in the garage both were less than 3 yrs old each and suck.

Thanks
TJ

You won't have the creeping down problem if you put some jack stands under it. Should take the stress off the jack.

I bought THIS one from NAPA last year, although it was on sale for a lot less money. It replaced two Craftsman "professional" jacks that were leaking down like all other recent Sears jacks...

One thing you may not like about it is it's really heavy. It's rock steady though, doesn't feel like it's straining when it lifts the front end of my truck. It has a rebuildable pump and a big lift pad with a hard rubber cover. I paid $279 for it last year (on sale) and had to order it since they didn't stock any jacks this big.

I have had good luck with the michelin jack I got from Sam's. Its 3&1/2 ton and heavy but stout. I gave less than $60 for it on sale.

I got a Craftsman jack last year and love it. I don't know if it's a Pro version, kinda doubt it. They were on sale and got my dad one too. It has done a great job and hasn't failed me yet. I do lots of lifting on my Jeep and the Dodge too.

Maybe you're better off not paying extra for the "Pro" version. Mine is a plain black floor jack, nothing fancy.
