Reading through the service manual in prep for the rebuild.
Talks about the oil seals on the crank. Then it's got the note to always replace the "clamping ring."
What are they talking about?
I read earlier in the manual to always replace the clamping ring on the exhaust/turbo....is that what they mean here? Seems like a big "SQUIRREL" moment to just put it right here.
Just checking to make sure I'm not missing something.
