Whats so special about these Optima Batteries, the Red top and yellow top ones? What makes them so much better than regular old batteries?

personally i never got the hype with those fancy double price batteries...

I buy conventional batteries and for half the price they do the job and then some. If they do ever crap out, thats what warranty is for

They are more resistant to vibration and they can be mounted in any position without damaging them. Thats about it.

There is absolutely no corrosion with the Optima batteries.
I replaced my last pair of Redtops just last winter.
They were 12 years old, one is still starting a Kubota tractor and the other running an electric fence.
Never had to clean the connectors even once.
They are the only battery I use now, 24 of them at last count on all the trucks, tractors and cars.
I have one on my Lincoln welder that was dropped 8 years ago and the case is gone, still works fine. Try that with a lead acid battery.
In my opinion they were well worth the extra price.

ive had one in my jet boat for 5yrs 400hp bbc its seasonal and its never been on a charger, red top
