I know I know. I am getting tired of seeing this post but unfortunately I still don't understand what to do with this issue. Alright, I will be getting my 2011 Mega Cab Laramie 3500 SRW truck in during the next couple days. I have some serious questions and hope that they can be answered so I don't ever have to post on this topic again lol. Here goes:
Can someone in dummy language (no abbreviations) tell me exactly what the deletes are?
Can someone explain to me how the emissions pieces in the truck can actually harm the truck?
I need to know where to do the deletes or who sells the pieces needed to do a full delete?
Do I need to run a programmer with full deletes?
Any advice on cold air intake and exhaust for this truck?
I am not looking for more horsepower, torque, or looking to juice this truck up. I am trying to do as little as I can to increase the fuel mileage and most importantly make this much more reliable than the powerstroke. Thanks for everybodys' help.

This is the removal of the EGR system and the DPF filter in the exhaust.
Can someone explain to me how the emissions pieces in the truck can actually harm the truck?
The EGR system re-directs some of the soot containing exhuast gases back into the intake system which leads to lesser fuel economy, dirtier oil, and can clog up the grid heater, egr cooler, and turbo over time. The DPF system requires the truck to go into regen mode to burn off the collected soot which cuases excessive egts and again lowers the mileage. If the DPF becomes fully plugged the truck will go into a limp mode and will need to go to the delaer for cleaning.

Many of us vendors on here handle all of those items.

Yes, if you want it to be problem free and code free.

Flo Pro has many DPF delete exhaust options for the 2010+ trucks and both S&B and aFE have cold air systems that will work on these trucks when you run an H&S tuner.

H&S should have 2011 software out for these trucks in a few weeks.

K buy a H&S mini maxx,5in florpo exh, shibby complete egr delete,S&B intake and some time to do it. This will put you in the 18 to 22mpgrange and 400+rwhp

whats difference between mini maxx and black maxx. What is a shibby delete lol
The size of the screen and the Black Maxx will be able to use the Active Maxx software in the future.

The delete he is referring to is the EGR/Cooler made by Shibby (Kurt) is a well respected gent on these forums.

Yeah what james said covers it ptetty good. Give him a call hell hook you up with some parts. I bought mine of of him. Great guy to deal with

You can go without the programmer aswell and just get the exhaust with the bungs and run sim's cant you? Truck would act the same as mm on stock setting but you will have an ERG code (if unplugged) and DPF codes, correct?

No soot recirc, and no more regens, but will have check engine light, im pretty sure this is correct?????

alright sounds good. I was hoping someone could do all the deletes for me. I don't even wanna mess with it.

I don't live near Pittsburg but thanks anyway lol. So basically, I get the deletes done, new intake, exhaust, mini maxx and I should be in good shape?

Yeah youll be top notch:thumbsup: Goin fast,getting premium fuel economy, sounding good, and smoking a little just the way i like it. Youll think you just bought the truck over again:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

awesome. Glad I got that figured out. Now I just need to figure out where to buy all these things. H&S deletes all sound pretty good. Flo Pro exhaust sounds like the way to go. AFE intake of S&B intake? What is the difference between Mini Maxx and XRT Tuner?

XRT isnt available for the 2010 yet and its a stand alone tuner. The mini has cool features like turn on fogs with high,and some other cool stuff. Auto defuel, shift on the fly tuning(my fav) nice color display. The blackmaxx is just bigger and will be able to run tha active maxx custom tune option when available. S&B cause its the best and cheapest. Had S&B on my old ford and it was great:thumbsup: Also buy everything from www.rollingsmokediesel.com

where u located at ksbirdfinder? I have been doing the deletes for many farmers out our way? I'm way out west in Tribune.
