I've owned Ram's with tow mirrors since 2009. I have never flipped them up, even when towing. Never needed to.

When I bought my '05 new, the dealer never showed me that they flipped up. A friend bought a 3500 around the same time and he showed me. I thought it was the best idea ever!

It took several months after buying my '06 to figure that out too!
