Hello everyone. I'm currently in the market for a 3500 4x4 DRW. It will serve as my daily driver (15 mile commute) and to tow my 5er(CR3905 Weekend Warrior 16,000lb GVWR). I am looking used because I want a truck I can pay cash for and have decided that the best bang for my buck will be with a Dodge and it's cummins. Not an easy decision for a "chevy guy". That being said I know next to nothing about the dodge and would like to ask your opinions on which truck you guys think would best suit my application.
Option A:
2003 Ram 3500 4x4 DRW with an Auto Trans & 149K on the odometer.

Option B:
2005 Ram 3500 4x4 DRW with an Manual Trans & 200K on the odometer.

My main concern is Reliability. Which truck will pull a 16K 5er on 10-15 350mi trips a year?

A newb sure would appreciate the input.

Thanks. :thanks:

I would say the 05 with the manual. Had an 01 with an auto and only the 318 and the trans was slipping

The 03 had a 47 or 48 auto.48 is better unless 47 has been beefed up. If you are doing alot of city driving auto. I personally like manuals!
