I tried searching for information on this for hours but couldn't find anything. I just bought a 2014 Ram 3500 and it only has 22,000 miles on it and a bad DEF pump. the dealer says the pump is on back order and they don't know when it'll be in. I was wanting to take the truck on a road trip from st.louis to denver but I don't know if I should take the truck. What do you guys think? will it damage the truck if I drive it like it is? or will the computer realize that the pump is bad and throw me into limp mode?

I wouldn't run the truck with a bad def pump. Suggest if they can't fix it they give you a killer trade value on it. They may call FCA and see if they can yank one off the assembly line and get you rolling. Nothing more frustrating than back ordered parts. If that doesn't work gently demand a loaner truck of equal capability. I would be afraid it would let you sit where it was most inconvenient... That's how my luck goes.
