Like I said in the beginning, it sounds more like your regen timer is activated. One of the clues is the noisey turbo at idle and the EB sound you mentioned.

Lemme guess. When you step on the fuel, it suddenly comes back to life.

What ever programmer you are using to clear your codes, see if it has a timer reset function. Reset your timers and see what happens then. The only other thing you can do is take it on the highway and drive it until it stops bawlking. You could plug in your EGR if it's still there

You better look into that DPF delete you did. Something isn't right
It sounds like you did an EGR delete, then did not unplug the solenoid. YOU MUST DO THIS or you will get the behavior you are experiencing depending on the ECU flash revision. Try it. You will get a lightning bolt but will experience no drivability issues. This can cause a -40HP limp (soft limp) but at least you will not be risking making the truck undrivable with a limp mode the dealer must reset -- which can happen if my suspicions are correct. Good luck and let us know! The solenoid is the thing above the intake air horn held on with 4 bolts -- about the highest thing in the engine compartment on the driver's side. Plug comes loose towards the front of the vehicle. Tape it up so it stays clean and go have fun.
Once again I'm not able to view the pictures as to where it is at. I deleted my egr a couple of weeks ago and I would like to clean the sensor. Is it a plug? I should be able to fine it if someone can give me a description. Thanks for the help.
Its on the driver side of the engine on the intake horn. Will be just below your EGR plate kind of on the back side of the horn. Its held in by 1 #15 torx bit. And the connector that plugs into it is grey. I hope this helps.
Irish,

Thanks. I should be able to find it. I will try to get to it later.

Thanks again.
my truck is doing the same thing. i replaced the sensor and it still does it. i dont know where to go next since i have everything deleted with sims and cooler mixer valve plug in and edge clearing codes on start up and still getting same code and lightin bolt
i went to the dealership and they said it was the map sensor so i got a new one and put it in and now my truck is worse. the lightning bolt comes on right after startup and whe i get over 2000rpms the truck bucks and romps and wont do sh$t. any ideas?
ok, lets start from the top then. For your EGR delete you have the valve unplugged, the cooler servo still plugged in and do you have the butterfly out? If the truck is bucking and romping around you may need to take that out or put it back in, it is really dependent on the flash that your truck has. Also it might not hurt to check your DPF sims out as well to make sure they still functioning as they are supposed to be.
valve is unplugged, servo if plugged in and tied out of the way, butterfly is gone. and ive had the dpf delete on for a year and the egr deleted for about 6 months with no problems at all. also how do i check the sims to see if they are working?
did the dealer reflash your truck at all since you took the EGR off? you check the sims with a meter between the two terminals to verify that they are still XXXX ohms. The differential pressure sensor sim should have a set resistance, and the EGT sensors should probably be 330 ohms. Some of the early flashes required the butterfly to be removed, but the later ones still needed the plate in place for one reason or another. You may want to try reinstalling it just for shiggles if you don't know whether or not your dealer reflashed the truck.
it hasnt been flashed since the egr delete, my dad took all the egr crap to the dump so im pretty much screwed when it comes to reinstalling the butterfly
if the sims are not working right will it cause the truck to romp and cut out bad? also could it cause the turbo to spool and whistle while im slowing down?
if the sims aren't working it may be trying to do a regen for one reason or another. Usually regen is accompanied by a large plume of white smoke out the tail pipe, but not always. Then the truck tries a regen slide position and fuel injection timing and duration are all altered, most of which will cause bucking and surging. I'd ask around here to see if somebody has a throttle blade they removed to see if you could find one to reinstall just for a sanity check.

I had the same thing happen to me but it was my boost fooler. Same code and actions. James replaced my boost fooler and all was perfect. Just a thougt since nothing else is working for you. Good luck.

I have a dumb question. . . Is the Delta P box plugged in? That's the box on the tranny
Ok, I'm also getting the lightning bolt along with the cutout, but no codes pop up when I try with the key. Any ideas. I'll try the map cleaning and check with the xrt to see if it clears anything.
i have this lightning bolt problemo along with a ton of blue/white smoke. i got it after drivin through a terrential downpour last saturday night. gonna try the brakleen on the map. if i get the code free xrt will that fix it.

Sounds like your truck is trying to regen. White smoke is almost always the result of regen. Have you checked your sims to make sure you didn't get water in them? Or to make sure they are still intact? This is the most likely cause of an attempted regen.
