also its throwing the p0106 Absolute Manifold Pressure code
is that the only code that it is throwing? If so remove your MAP sensor and clean it really good. Reinstall it and clear the codes again and give it a try.
Also I am fairly certain that code can put you into limp mode..
If the MAP sensor got wet it can cause the 1016 code as well. Put some di-electric grease on the connectors.
i have had this happen 4 or 5 times, I usually just pull over, shut the motor down for a few minutes, and restart, the code & the lightning bolt go away, I don't know why my map sensor would be dirty, I deleted egr @ 218 miles on the odometer
thx guys ill try to clean it and see if it works

Sounds more like the Regen timer is kicking in. I can't see your signature. . what mods do you have?
i have an h&s dpf delete, egr and cooler delete mp-8, flashpaq and boost fooler. sorry to be dumb but which sensor is the map and how do i clean it

The Map is on the back side of the intake horn, behind and below the EGR valve. I believe it uses 2- T10 Torx Screws to hold it in.

Flush it with some Brake Kleen and blow it out with some air.

It may be one of the resistors is not in right or is bad. Probably not in right. But we can't rule out the Map either.

These things with the emission systems are hard to trouble shoot anymore.

K2. . .Will the MAP cause the truck to act like it's in the Regen timer mode?
i have brake parts cleaner and choke and carb cleaner, which one ?

Brake parts. . .Carb cleaner is too harsh
NAPA has safe cleaner. I cleaned mine the other day even with the EGR delete done (cleaned it when I deleted the EGR too) it was very dirty again.
probably the brake. Its fast drying and wont leave a residue. I used mild detergent w/water and a tooth brush and then just let it air dry good, hit it with some compressed air.
thank god for this forum :)

Not that it really matters, you will find out soon enough, only 1 screw.
Also, one time on the way home from the midwest, I had just filled up and got on the highway. Hit a bump from road construction and instantly got a lightning bolt. Kept cutting out and couldn't find the problem so I drove it all the way home like that. Brought it straight to the dealer and it was a camshaft position sensor. Also wouldn't start unless I cleard the code with my power pup. Just cranked over. So not sure what caused it. I think I have a thread on here about it.

Heh I'm old. Forgive me. You are right. DING! And I just put a Shibby Stage 1 in 2 weeks ago too. . . Guess I was asleep for that part. . .

Hey! At least I knew where it was. . . . I can't remember 5 minutes ago though. . . :S: :hehe:

You know what I was thinking of? MAS. Mass Air Flow Sensor. But that's on the other side.
If you want to really clean the sensor properly, they do make a MAF sensor cleaner for cars that makes 0 residue on the elements of it so they maintain their same functionality before and after. brake kleen carb and choke cleaner both leave some form of residue (though not much).
