I got a brake controller with no directions. I have 4 wires
red, white,blue, black

White is ground ( hooked to battery or anywhere?)
Black is power (do you hook it straight to the battery?)
Blue (trailer plug)
Red brake signal ( how to you hook it up to a signal)

I use the grid heaters for a power tap. You don't get the corrision problem off these terminals. Use an inline fuse also to protect the wiring.

Your going to need to tap into the brake light wire off the brake switch. A posi tap will work there without corrision problems.

Go to the battery for the ground or the engine block. Do not use the body/frame for a trailer brake ground. Your engine is mounted in rubber so a ground from the frame goes threw that little 10ga wire from your - battery terminal to the body.
