Thanks guys, I really like the 05 laramie...... hood, lift, tires, exh, intake lower miles..... but I also like the 03 auto with lift anf tires. i think its between these two....... also I agree with the 03 6spd. no gauges, 90's with stock turbo and fuel sys, all bad in my opinion uless it was babied. So now its between the 05 laramie and 03 auto I think. Thinks it becomes a price issue now..... so if I get the 05 a tad cheaper I will go for it. If not its the 03... I hope

no disrespect but why would they put 90s in it (who knows if it had a programmer in it or not) and baby it??
if i put that sh*t in mine i wouldnt baby it but thats just me... who knows how it was treated!!

sat i bought a 05 2500 4x4 slt 6 in fabtech with swaybars new 37s auto with suncoast internals 5 in exhaust with 107,000 for $15,300
just sayin that i got a deal but also knowing you could find a deal if you do good research

thats where we have made mistakes in tha past... do research and dont buy just tha 1st one u find if it takes a few months to find the truck u want then who cares you are gonna be driving it for a while make sure its tha one u want!!

don't let the fact that some trucks you are looking for have no programmer or mods, if they are stock, i would wonder myself, how many times do i go through the classifieds to find guys selling off their go fast goods, cause they are selling their truck????
most people put something on their truck, and i would rather see it still there and know what they were running, then to have it all back to stock and not know anything about the truck. second, i like the fact when i am buying if it was used for the intended purpose of a diesel, and not just to run to the store. first thing i ask is if its been towed with and what kinda of weight? gauges? and tranny work?? if the person tells me no towing ever, and it has low miles, i'm not interested anymore.food for thought

I was looking at the 03 6 spd also. In Manteca if I remember right and I thought the same thing about the heat issue; large tires, big injectors, probably a chip at some point, stock gears, and large right foot = toasted pistons!!
