I just got a 2007 5.9. I want to make a few mods to improve performance and fuel mileage. I'm concerned about the tranny and torque converter. Don't want to be replacing them in 100K miles or so. I drive conservative with the occasional lead foot. I want to get a CAI, Edge Mileage Max, and straight pipe the exhaust. Will this be to much added power for the tranny & TC to handle? All info and advice is appreciated.

Personally, Id add gauges to the list if the Edge doesnt have them.

you could put a new tc and shift kit in for relatively cheap and good piece of mind:beer

most on here would recommend goerend, nadp and such and tell you to stay away from ats. mine runs fine tho i'm not pushin lots of power. call around to get quotes, i had mine done at a local shop. but if i would have had the money, i would have gotten a fully built unit shipped from goerend and installed by a shop here:thumbsup mine cost around 2k
