I have a 2005 cummins i have looked for a double din radio install kit for a navigation head unit. I spoke with a guy from a audio store and he said i would have to get an 06 dash from the dodge dealership but it is about $300. Im not sure if that would work or if there is another option. Please i need some advice on what to do.

Keep searching on here . Best way is to cut your existing dash . Dont spend that kind of $ on a new one . There are some articles of people modifying theres cleanly and you can buy a spare at the junk yard in case you mess up.

I paid around $100 for a factory nav bezel at the dealership. Don't cut yours, it'll never look right unless your gonna fiberglass it.

Mike, or weedahoe, makes custom ones. I have one, its excellent Finnish, his customer service is awesome, he is trust worthy and is always quick to respond to emails.
I wanted mine to look as factory as possible so I went with as flat black one

When I bought my truck I was able to pick up a factory nav system for $100 so I jumped on it and was able to find a factory nav bezel brand new from a dodge dealer on ebay for $125. Right color, perfect fit, plug and play.

Kind of an old post but...some of you guy's keep forgetting that the 2005 dash is different than the other years. So I've been told?

Mike "Weedahoe" does bezels for the 05s too. These guys aren't "forgetting" that. They are giving accurate info by suggesting Mike's bezels being an option for a double din in an early 3rd gen.
