this is what i got, I picked up the transmixer for a good price off another member knowing that it needed rebuilt..

I found a broken main shaft and the usual loose fith gear.

the shift fork for the rear syncro

knocked out the two pins and worked off the shift fork

removed the snap ring and off comes the syncro assembly

after removing the 5th gear and syncro assembly I just removed the bearing retainers/ adjusters for both shafts.

Then removed the upper (main shaft) after the input shaft was already removed.

once the main shaft assembly is removed and after the lower (counter shaft) bearing plate is removed you can pull the shaft out for the idler/reverse gear.

after that is removed i took the lower (counter shaft) and slid it forward in the case and removed the bearing to make it easier or possible to remove the counter shaft.

i have more to up load later on the trans is put together other then the top cover

yes it should be once you pull off the tail housing

Good thing someone took pictures. Couldn't remember where the two shims went that go behind the mainshaft bearing retainer.

Sag - when you took your mainshaft apart, did you have two plastic like washers. They had to be removed before a snap ring could be removed?

one thin one close to the input end of the main shaft and a thicker one towards the middle of the shaft

yea i looked all over on here looking for a good detailed build on this and came up empty. so i figured since i took all the pics for my refrince i would post them to help others save some time and $$$
