Hey gang,

Just bought my ram 2500 about a week ago and so far love it! There is just one thing bugging me. The emissions stuff, like the DPF has kinda got me down and out.

My ultimate goals were for in order; proformance, light/med towing, and finaly fuel economy. With the emissions equipment in place i have seen that it makes the 1st and 3rd goals of mine tougher to obtain then say the 5.9l motors. My questoin to you all, is, did i make a mistake with this purchase? or are there different things i can do to increase goals 1 and 3?

dpf delete and egr delete.... voids your waranty, but i think it was worth it. way better fuel economy, and helps you mod them without going into regen, and seeing horribly high egts.

I read that in a couple of places. My concern is then, what parts of the waranty is now void? And wont that throw codes like crazy?

it won't throw any hard codes i.e. put you into limp mode, as long as you go with a BADP or H&S exhaust. you can do your egr yourself, or get a kit. it will probably void all waranty, pending on your dealer. some guys have lucked out, but since i've done mine, i haven't been to dealership. it's just one of those things, play it safe and get poor fuel milesage, or pay to play.

If you have problems take it to a cummins authorized service center not, dealership for engine work, then you usually wont have to worry about voided warranty issues!

so far, well as far as i know, these are the only two companies thats have turbo back exhaust kits. they require a "fooler box" which tricks the sensors in your DPF and CAT's so it reads they are there, BADP i think may be offereing a code free kit. mine throws three codes i believe with there earlier setup. H&S is cheaper than BADP, but last i heard BADP was the easiest electrical wise. rumors are floating around about a few other companies comeing out with them as well. Delteddpf, a member on here is the owner of BADP. you can PM them, or go to there website to find out more deletedpf.com.

Thats a great idea! I wonder if i do that, would i be able to take the bill to the stealership and have them foot the bill(within reason) if it is infact a cummins autherized service center, and the problem not related to any mods i have done. And BBRam, thanks for the move!:woot:
