I went drag racing tonight, it was my first time. Truck ran 14s consistently.

MY GOD it gets the blood pumping. I want more power now, I've been bitten by the diesel bug.

Here's a vid.


Is a 14 quick for these trucks? The guy I raced had stacked chips so he beat me. He ran a 13.8.

Any tips on how to make the truck faster? Should I go with 50hp injectors and a nice single? Any recommendations?

To make it faster, ditch the jr for the sr and put that built dtt to the test!

After doing injectors, I would not go with anything smaller than 90's, but that may just be me. Congrats on gettin some times though and have fun modding!

get the smarty sr., sum 90's, a lift pump, and a good turbo and ull be on ur way:thumbsup:
if ur like me though, it gets boring running the same times so ull always be searching for more pwr, i dont race my truck at the track though, thats what the pos rice burner is for haha when i break it i laugh, i dont laugh when i break one of my trucks lol

injectors and turbo

Alright, well what do you guys recommend for turbos, injectors and will I need head studs? I really want a reliable 500 hp, that is all I want. 600 would be nice but this truck is my daily driver. I want 2 mic filtration, I know that. and some 90 injectors and a lift pump. What are good ones for all of that? DDP 90s? Phatshaft turbo and a fass?

gp airdog 2 165gph 90hp nozzles from wicked diesels and a buper b special or a silver 64 i only ran a 14.3 with my smarty senior dam i think your trans helped you out!

wat elevation was that at ? i was at 5600ft. what was your best time?

holy chit I'm gonna need to save like 8 grand for all that.
airdog is 560
nozzles 450
smarty s06 pod is 685
and turbo is 1850

if you go used you migh save a few hundred but then u have used stuff which i dont recommend

open up that pocket book, it only gets expensive from here
well at least from his signatue he had a built trans which is the biggest expense and weakest link:thumbsup:

I don't have a pocket book, I got a wallet. I wanna do injectors for a fresh start. I got a rough idle which makes me think I got one going out. I'm not gonna expect warranty on it because I mod the chit outta my truck, I hate it when people abuse their warranties anyway. So the main price is gonna be injectors. Or think I should just find out which one is bad and just replace that one? The issue is the truck can't be down for more than 1 night because it's my only vehicle, besides my bicycles.

how many miles on those injectors?

If your gonna pull the injectors I would either send them out to get honed or have another set to drop in. And there is nothing wrong with resorting to the bicycle when the truck is down. My 90 dollar walmart special gets me from a to b when it has to.

Yea the trans is all billet shafts except intermediate, triple disc tq converter, valvebody, gm shift solenoid, and a billet flexplate. Would a lockup switch help out my times, or is that gonna hurt the trans?
it might help out idk your not making much power but once you make big power it will help out you can make your own switch cheap:thumbsup:
