As like everything with this truck I'm doing more than I intended.

Didn't plan on pulling the brake booster or hvac but here we are

Had enough time today to pull the transfer case. Hopefully will have enough time to pull the trans tomorrow, if not definitely Saturday

Trans is out


Guess it's a good thing I decided to change the rear main seal



New seal installed



And a splash of color on the trans

You might want to put a new front seal on that trans while it's out also.

A couple dollars now is easier to do then later when it's done and your driving it.

Did it say diesel when you looked it up? Also look for a seal number on the front of yours.

Doesn't say. I'll keep digging. I won't be able to look at it until tomorrow

There is a front pump bushing in the pump. That is what the converter hub rides in. When they get wear it will cause a leak as well as converter drain back.

Trans and t case back in. Little bit more work putting it back in than taking it out



2 coats of raptor epoxy primer




And 2 coats of rustoleum gloss black

I hope you have better luck than I did with the primer...I used the Upol etching primer and it didn't etch or adhere, my Raptor liner is lifting in spots, and it is directly a result of the primer not adhering

Hopefully it sticks. I definitely do not want to fix it down the road
