Smarty.. but if you don't have an air intake and exhaust i'd do that first... and the best chip for fuel economy unfortunately is your right FOOT...:peelout
What year is your truck?
Bump !!

Its an 06 and I already have a cold air & exhaust!! :peelout
take out your silencer ring and try driving without making the turbo whistle, youll save a big chip :$: in the wallet

:lol3: :peelout
It's not necessarily a chip or programmer as much as tightning the nut behind the wheel!

Are some trucks just extremely different? Tonight I went on about a 150 mile trip, reset my overhead when i left, and drove 73 the whole trip, and my overhead still only read 18mpg. when i first bought the truck new it was getting well over 20 on overhead. what gives??
I've had my overhead reflashed ('06 Mega Cab) but it's still only a guideline and has never been closer than 1 mpg to the truth. There are just too many variables; especially if you've got aftermarket stuff plugged in. It's fun to coast downhill from my local fuel station, reset the overhead, and pretend I'm getting 34 mpg though-

It has alot to do with this new low sulfur fuel BS. Better for the environment but less mpg. Wats up with that?? Its rediculous. :thud:
They are just using the environment as an excuse. Its really all about the money.

Thread Hijack alert!:thud:

Did you install the jacob's or had the dealer install? I'm interested in one since I'll be getting a trailer (or 5th wheel) w/in the next year.
