Mounting BDS Traction Bars. Can i flip them?

Been adding a few goodies to the truck lately and now looking at the BDS ladder bars. I have seen a video on youtube on the installation and the guy said they should be installed with the round tubing facing downward/reversed if anyone has the AMP powersteps. What other cons do they have installed like this rather than the bars have less clearence to the ground? They are more visible like this also which i like. Should i install by the instructions or flip the bars in case i purchase the AMP steps? Cant they be flipped by unbolting the 2 bolts if i ever buy the steps?
