i have a 2001 dodge diesel i just bought it the dealer was having a problem with it shutting down and come to find out it was a shut down relay they said the tuner caused it which i was told the tuners wont do that. and sense i bought it it seems to skip at a idle and when i coast to a stop sign or stop light. so im just wondering what is causing this to happen?

Yup. remove the tuner and/or box(s) from the truck first.
If it still skips, try this:
put your fingers on each line and feel the pulses. If one has a weak pulse compared to the others, thats the bad one.
If one is weak, check for leaks or loose fittings. If none are found, pull the injector and cross tube and inspect/test.

I think I would start with checking for codes with a code reader.

Turbolvr sleeps with his engines so he knows how every part feels and pulses. Not everybody can do that. :rof

Try touching each line then have someone loosen (just enough to make it skip) one of the lines and feel them again. I bet you can tell which line it was. ;)

Carl some of my lines seem stronger pulses than the rest - but not sure if that's due to firing order or normal or not etc ...

** never mind I reread it you mean comparing pulse strength during firing :)

i did what you said to do and the 2 injector from the front is way weaker than the rest. so does that mean that injetcor is gone then?
