Just wondering how far I can go safely?
I have a .020" marine HG, o-rings, and port/polish/valve job.
I understand that DDP4's don't spray in the bowl above 20*. I was thinking somewhere around 18*.
Does this sound good, or should I keep it around 16.5*? Or does someone with more experience have a different number for me to try that might be better for my mods.
Thanks,

I ran 17.5 w/ DDP3s, O-rings and a .020 HG, and I know people running 20* on that setup. Some guys don't believe in studs and run full race engines with just O-rings and special torquing procedures. Make sure to use thin injector washers.

Sounds like a good number for a street truck it shouldn't have any problems.

Jeff Garmon is who talked me out of studs. I guess I trust his opinion as much as anyone else's. I don't know if his truck is studless or not. But, he told me that he felt the factory head bolts were just as good.
I know his truck(s) are in a different league than mine. But, I guess I'll be alright.
