Do you have anything done to your truck yet or no?

Post up the link to the YouTube vid I deff want to see that for my self. I just find it hard to belive that someone squeezed that knd of power w/o an IC.

The short answer is injectors, turbo upgrade, pump tuning, and all the supporting parts (fuel supply, built trans or clutch, intake exhaust, etc...)

You either set the truck up with the right combination of parts, use chemical intercooling (water meth, NOS), or ignore the EGTS......

How much is that intercooler really helping you sitting still on a dyno?

For a 15 sec burst of power (dyno, drag race, sled pull) an intercooler isn't that important. Lots of dedicated pullers and drag trucks dont have them.

Now, they do help you utilize the power for longer. Thats why you need them to run high horsepower on the highway.

All I'm saying is intercoolers don't hinder you making power in short bursts....

jmd025 ok thanks that's true I didn't concider the time that the power was being made.

even with a non ic. you can run some 6x16's and have s300 with the 62 mm comp wheel and make that power. also you would turn up pump. bump timing all the way to the head. put a big lift pump on it. 1/2inch fuel lines. etc

Don't know if it's IC'd but he's now running a 14mm VE IP and putting over 500HP to the ground.

I thought Bill ran the cummins water to air cooler some? Not sure on that run.

I would say that an intercooler does add to the power rating even in short bursts. It does cool the charge air and cooler air makes more power.

Well, true, but what about sitting still on the dyno? And going 15 mph down a sled pulling track?

I know lots of folks use fans on the dyno...but it would take a hell of a fan to equal the air forced through an intercooler at just 40 mph.

So that truck had twins and injectors??? and thats it

most big time sled pullin truck dont have innercoolers

Nope they dont. My cousin has a p-pumped 24v 2.8 puller with like 760hp and no intercooler. That thing is crazy

So how much power could you make with just 6x16 and an HX35
