you cold do ALOT better for 500 than that setup. theres alot of boxes on Ebay or you could make your own and have less that 100 into the box. Find a nice large 2 channel amp and bridge it down to mono and youve got less than 250 into it. that leaves you 250 for a nice sub.

I installed one in my truck along with the Kicker speaker upgrade and amp. I'm pleased with the sub. Works, fits and sounds like it should. I'm very disapointed in the sound and performance of the speakers and amp upgrade. Called and wrote to Kicker for help and they blew me off.

they make the l5 and l7 kicker boxes that fit in our trucks. Then just a nice 500 mono or 1000 watt mono like a jl or something like that. It will cost more than that but the sound would be better

Thats the box i have... fit and finish and sound are astonishing giving the little room we have to work with in ours...
